Plant Electrical Engineer at Amsted Rail in Anmoore, West Virginia

Job Description:

Duties included

• Complies with Company policies, procedures, regulations.


• Drafts capital budget requests


• Creates specifications for competitive bids on equipment, systems, and construction/installation services


• Coordinates and controls the work of contractors and equipment suppliers


• Implements new technologies to solve problems and to upgrade existing facilities


• Prepares reports and presentations as needed


• Leads/participates in continuous improvement projects


• Utilizes computer hardware and software to enhance data collection and analysis


• Drafts operating instructions and provides training on the operation of new equipment/facilities


• Supports Production and Maintenance as a technical resource


• Lead and supervise/manage in a union environment


• Other duties as assigned

• B.S in Electrical Engineering


• 3-5 years' experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment


• Excellent verbal and written communications skills


• Experience with high voltage


• Experience leading teams of hourly Electricians

•
