Draft, review, and serve as the point of coordination for negotiation efforts related to agreements, amendments, and supplemental documents for Targa’s Gathering & Processing business activities leveraging Targa’s proprietary agreement templates in accordance with internal guidelines.
Serve as the initial point of contact for coordination of establishing counterparty onboarding and KYC tasks as required.
Responsible for contract lifecycle management across the assigned business areas.
Serve as a liaison between counterparties and internal stakeholders (commercial, legal, accounting, measurement, system operations, credit, audit/compliance, and tax) to facilitate consistent, timely follow-up and ensuring contract and policy compliance.
Respond to internal stakeholder questions, inquiries, and requests regarding contractual terms and conditions.
Review and maintain database and contract repository information in accordance with Company policy.
Responsible for contract management due diligence and reconciliation efforts for the assigned area(s) of business.
Work in support of continuous improvement of our Commercial Services Team processes and active participation in new procedures or system developments.
Assist with new business development opportunities or projects on an as needed basis.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
College Degree, Paralegal Certificate, and/or relevant work experience in lieu degree/certificate is preferred
3 to 5 years of experience working with complex agreement structures and a demonstrated proficiency drafting contracts, amendments, supplemental documents, and notices
Exposure to Natural Gas Midstream commercial terms, contracting structures, and an understanding of natural gas gathering and processing
Ability to accurately draft and analyze complex commercial agreements and to identify, interpret, and capture critical document data in an assigned system
Demonstrated history of being results driven, taking initiative, taking a high degree of personal accountability, and possessing the ability to work independently and within/across teams
Must be able to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of stakeholders and maintain a calm demeanor in high pressure situations
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have an aptitude with various systems including the ability to easily learn and adapt to new software
Able to work efficiently in an open work area
Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience managing records and contract briefs in a Contract Management System
Prior experience and exposure to commonly used industry systems including Waterfield, Quorum, RightAngle, Allegro or ContractLogix
