Junior Accountant at Ledgent Finance & Accounting in WOODLAND HILLS, California

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a solid foundation in accounting.


Position Summary:



The Accounting Clerk will assist in the daily operations of the accounting department, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting month-end procedures. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within the field.


Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports


• Enter financial transactions into accounting software


• Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards


• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions


• Support month-end and year-end closing processes


• Prepare and maintain financial reports and documentation


• Help ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards


• Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  


• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills


• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Willingness to learn and take initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internship or 1+ year of accounting/finance experience


• Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
