Rehlko is searching for an Electrical Test Cell Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will drive safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost reduction, and continuous improvement in our test cell operations. You will design and implement advanced manufacturing processes and systems, mentor technicians and testers, and partner with design engineering to seamlessly transition new and modified products from concept to production-all while optimizing the three M's of variation, waste, and overburden.
Specific Responsibilities
Oversee production flow by ensuring that operations meet performance goals and maintain Rehlko's high quality standards.
Analyze manufacturing operations to pinpoint enhancements in methods, equipment, and layout that bolster safety and reduce costs.
Develop and implement manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment for new and existing products to streamline transitions from design to production.
Initiate cost savings projects and mentor manufacturing technicians using structured problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, PDCA, 8D/PSP, 4Q, or A3).
Troubleshoot load bank structures and operational issues by proposing and executing innovative solutions.
Coordinate new product introductions by collaborating with design engineering, marketing, and production teams to meet new testing requirements.
Learn and optimize test software operations while assisting in test cell calibrations and ongoing maintenance.
Establish and maintain test cell routings for all products and engineering specials, ensuring robust process documentation.
Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate product costs and determine capital equipment, capacity, and capability requirements.
Direct capital improvement projects as the project manager for multi-disciplinary teams within your area of responsibility.
Optimize material flow, equipment layout, workflow, and workforce utilization to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to minimize variation, waste, and overburden while boosting productivity.
Support technical investigations by analyzing failure data and assisting in corrective design or process modifications.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, risk-taking, and inclusive, timely execution of projects.
Review design proposals with engineering teams to ensure technical merit and achieve optimal production outcomes.
Implement PFMEA analyses to proactively identify process risks and enhance overall process reliability.
Execute additional duties as assigned to support broader process optimization and quality objectives.
Requirements
Possess an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including Co-Op, Internship, or related experience.
Hold Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and/or proven expertise in driving continuous improvement initiatives and quality system enhancements.
Demonstrate exceptional electrical aptitude and advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot at both subsystem and system levels.
Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven capability to lead cross-functional teams.
Show the ability to accurately interpret test data, diagnose malfunctions, and contribute to design or process modifications.
Manage multiple projects of moderate scope and complexity simultaneously with effective prioritization.
Be innovative, resourceful, and comfortable working with minimal direction in a dynamic environment.
Endure the physical demands of the role, with an expected work balance of 50% on the production floor and 50% in an office setting.

The Salary range for this position is $76,050.00-$96,050.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
