Job Description:

Adams & Martin Group is currently looking for a motivated Associate Attorney with experience in estate planning and trust and estate administration in St. Louis, MO. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of matters involving sophisticated planning strategies and complex estate and trust work.


Job Description:


  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement comprehensive estate plans using various types of trusts tailored to achieve tax efficiency, asset protection, and legacy planning goals.

  • Develop and apply strategies to minimize federal and state Gift, Estate, and Generation-Skipping Transfer (GST) Taxes. Prepare and review related tax filings, including IRS Form 706 (Estate Tax Returns) and Form 709 (Gift Tax Returns), ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.

  • Guide fiduciaries and beneficiaries through all stages of trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings, asset distribution, fiduciary reporting, and compliance with relevant legal obligations.

  • Structure and implement closely held business entities such as LLCs, FLPs, and corporations. Assist clients in formulating and executing succession strategies to transition ownership and control across generations or key stakeholders.

  • Advise clients on legal structures and planning techniques to shield personal and business assets from potential liabilities, taking into consideration both domestic and international frameworks where appropriate.





Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Active license to practice law in Missouri (required)

  • Demonstrated experience in estate planning, trust administration, and tax planning

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
