Discovery Paralegal at Adams & Martin Group in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Description:

Downtown St. Louis, Missouri, law firm is seeking to hire a paralegal to support the Discovery team by drafting and serving discovery and supporting litigation teams. We are looking for energetic, driven, detail-oriented people for this full-time, on-site position.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


• Draft discovery (interrogatories and requests for production) in multiple jurisdictions;


• Serve discovery in multiple jurisdictions;


• Track discovery for responses (calendaring and database);


• Updating and maintaining tracked discovery, including: communicating with trial teams for status of responses, drafting and serving "no answer" letters; drafting and filing motions to compel and notices of hearing, and sending requests for verifications if unverified responses received;


• Saving discovery responses and document productions in our case management software.


Skills Desired:


• Positive and self-motivated attitude;


• Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat;


• Ability to multi-task and prioritize;


• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to establish and foster working relationships with others in the department;


• Good verbal and written communication and analytical skills;


• Maintain organization with good attention to detail;


• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications required:


• Paralegal degree or certificate (or enrollment in program);


• 1+ years in a law firm or equivalent setting.
