Description: Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Training Coordinator. The training coordinator works with new hires from onboarding through initial training, ensuring they are getting what they need in order to be successful. The coordinator keeps files of training certifications, and is the driver to ensure that both employees and supervisors are on track. This position will also be involved with ensuring all compliance training is completed on time, and will support other training and development activities.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Identify training needs through documentation, employee interviews, and consultation with leadership.
Facilitate training programs tailored to specific business requirements.
Evaluate various training delivery methods, such as classroom and hands-on approaches, to optimize effectiveness, costs, and environmental impact.
Assess organizational performance to ensure training aligns with business needs and enhances performance.
Evaluate employees' skills, performance, and productivity to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
Select and appoint on-the-job trainers within the operation to enhance training effectiveness.
Promote company values and philosophy through all training and development activities.
Communicate effectively with team members, trainers, and management.
Foster a learning environment conducive to individual and group training sessions.
Manage resources, including collaboration with internal and external partners, to develop and deliver training.
Utilize technologies and technical personnel to develop, manage, and deliver training.
Attend meetings or seminars to gather information for training programs or update management on program status.
Collaborate with HR and Operations to plan and update the annual training calendar to meet business objectives.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the training function of the business.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least three years of experience in training and development.
Preferred experience in leadership roles.
Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office and related business communication tools.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Proven track record in developing and implementing training programs (preferred).
Strong critical thinking and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledgeable in both traditional and modern training methodologies.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strategic and creative thinker.
Detail-oriented with meticulous attention to accuracy.
