Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Salary: $150,000.00 USD Annually - $175,000.00 USD Annually

Description: The Judge Group is in search of an action-oriented Plant Manager to lead an exciting turnaround at a food manufacturer with opportunity for growth! We're looking for a servant leader type personality with a sense of urgency to incorporate lean manufacturing techniques and improvement projects to expediently improve efficiency.


We're looking for a decisive, "roll up your sleeves" floor leader with the strategic vision to help lead and guide a well-respected operational staff into optimizing production efficiency. This role is not for the heavily statistically-focused leader who needs several months to observe and assess before taking action. We're looking for someone to drive immediate action and initiate process improvement projects for rapid improvements.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Create a 30/60/90 day plan to improve operational effectiveness through lean principals


• Actively engage daily with the team, participating in the production process to men tor the team to create a winning environment


• Build trust with the staff through a servant leadership approach to improve total site performance


• Support Sales Team and engage in S&OP performance


• Lead Kaizen events and improvement projects across the facility


• Utilize continuous improvement tools and lean methodology to identify and eliminate waste to improve OEE, PPLH and dollars per pound.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience as Plant Manager in Turnaround Environment


• Experience ideally in Food Ingredient/Nutraceutical/Pharmaceutical/Supplement industries


• Extensive experience in Lean Management Systems


• Ability to quickly deliver improvement in performance-driven environment


• Demonstrated success in leading capital projects
