Job Description:

Position Summary:
As the Health and Wellness Director, you will oversee all nursing operations within our assisted living community. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents, leading a dedicated nursing staff, and collaborating with other departments to promote a holistic approach to resident well-being. Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the care staff, providing guidance, training, and support.

  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, and best practices in nursing care.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents with the help of the Resident Care Coordinator.

  • Monitor and assess the health status of residents, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare providers.

  • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews to maintain high standards of care.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care and services.

  • Promote staff development through ongoing training and mentorship.

  • Engage with residents and their families to address concerns and ensure satisfaction with care services.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee delegation processes per Oregon regulations

  • Is willing to carry a cell phone and be ‘on call' for emergenc ies, resident change of condition, and when staff perform delegated nursing tasks.

  • Able to work occasional weekends and evenings.

  • Monitors and maintains resident records and nursing notes.


Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to assisted living.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

  • Passion for working with the elderly and improving their quality of life.
