The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI's salary range for this position. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI's overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.
This role is responsible for providing general office support and is also responsible of providing day to day HR support as an assistant.
Job Responsibilities
Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports.
Support the Human Resources department with the following:
Administer and track attendance policy for hourly employees
Assist with hourly recruiting including but not limited to: ATS, sourcing resumes and assist with internal bidding process
Process pre-employment screenings
Assist with job transfers and HR change forms
Maintain HR employee files
Assist with employee engagement activities
Assist with other HR duties as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Support the general office with the following:
Sort and distribute mail
Greet customers and walk-ins' visitors
Filing, office supply replenishment, and general administrative duties
Answer phone calls, screen calls, assist customers when necessary, and transfer calls to the appropriate departments
Assist with other front desk duties as assigned
Scheduling of meetings and facilitate visitors' check-ins
Other duties as assigned
This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
1-3 years of experience in related field is preferred.
Experience in customer service in a plant or distribution center environment.
Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Preferably 1-2 years of experience in HR in a plant or distribution center environment, but not required.
Familiar with a payroll software.
Able to work in a team environment.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Good communications skills.
Education
High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.
Work Environment
Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Work conditions are typical of an office environment.
This role does not require any domestic travel
Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds
Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
