Adams & Martin group is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in public finance, municipal law, or transactional law. However, we welcome candidates with a strong interest in finance and a demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters.

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 (flexible upon experience)
Job Description:
Serve as bond counsel for states, counties, cities, housing authorities, 501(c)(3) organizations, and other governmental and quasi-governmental entities in connection with tax-exempt and taxable bond and lease financings.
Advise clients in structuring and implementing innovative public-private partnerships and other project financings that support infrastructure, housing, and economic development.
Counsel clients on the negotiation and implementation of economic development tools, including tax abatements, tax increment financing (TIF), special taxing districts, and related incentive structures.
Act as underwriter's counsel and bank counsel in a wide variety of public finance transactions, including general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, lease-purchase transactions, and conduit financings.
Advise clients on federal tax and securities law issues related to municipal finance, including continuing disclosure and post-issuance compliance.
Draft and negotiate a broad range of legal documents including trust indentures, loan agreements, bond purchase agreements, leases, and closing certificates. Manage closings and provide strategic legal counsel throughout the lifecycle of a transaction.
Work closely with attorneys across the firm in related practice areas including real estate, tax, litigation, and government relations to provide full-service counsel to our clients.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Admission to the bar in [Insert State] or willingness to obtain admission promptly
2-6 years of relevant legal experience preferred
Demonstrated interest in public service, economic development, and/or community impact
Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
