Seeking an Asset Analyst to support a portfolio of hotel assets for a dynamic and growing real estate investment firm.
The Asset Analyst will play a key role in supporting the financial and operational performance of hotel properties by conducting in-depth analysis, preparing detailed reports, and assisting in the execution of asset strategies. This role is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality and real estate. The Asset Analyst will work closely with Asset Managers, property operators, and internal stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions that enhance asset value and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the analysis and monitoring of hotel financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
Assist in the development and implementation of asset strategies to improve operational efficiency and maximize returns.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for internal teams and ownership groups.
Participate in weekly revenue calls and assist in tracking forecast performance and variance analysis.
Aid in the review and approval process for annual budgets and capital expenditure plans.
Conduct market research and benchmarking to support strategic decision-making.
Build and maintain financial models to evaluate asset performance, investment returns, and scenario planning.
Assist with the oversight of capital projects, tracking budgets, timelines, and financial impact.
Contribute to property inspections and operational reviews, documenting key observations and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with internal reporting standards and support the Asset Management team in meeting deadlines and deliverables.
Serve as a liaison between departments to coordinate the flow of data and ensure consistency in reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in real estate, hospitality, or investment analysis, preferably in an asset management or hotel environment.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial statements and metrics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with asset management software is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights to internal stakeholders.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in the hospitality industry and a desire to grow within asset management.
Willingness to travel occasionally for property site visits and team meetings.
