About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Focus Factory Manager to lead Wayne Dalton's Pensacola site in the hardware and components area of our plant. This position reports directly to the Plant Leader and is responsible for overseeing a team of over 120 hourly non-union employees. The Focus Factory Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the achievement of high levels of performance across all aspects of the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, skilled in motivating, challenging, and stretching employee resources to achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety standards.

This role is key in ensuring the plant's success in delivering high-quality components to dealers, distributors, and for intra-company transfers to other manufacturing sites across the U.S.



  • Education & Experience:


    • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a technical, supply chain-related field is required.


    • 7+ years of exp. in manufacturing operations, preferably in a similar high-volume production environment; 5+ years of supervision/leadership experience.

    • Proven experience managing hourly non-union employees and leading a large team of supervisors.

    • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

    • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma processes, and standard work practices.

    • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, improve operational efficiency, and enhance product quality.

    • Financial acumen with experience managing department budgets, controlling costs, and achieving performance metrics.

    • Monitor and manage department budgets, cost structures, and performance metrics.

    • Analyze production data and financial reports to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.

    • Drive accountability for performance and results across all levels of the production team.




  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, supply chain, and engineering, to ensure smooth plant operations and alignment on production schedules.

    • Communicate effectively with the plant leadership team to report on key metrics, challenges, and improvements.





  • Leadership & Team Management:

    • Lead and manage a team of front-line supervisors and over 120 hourly non-union employees indirectly.
