Interventional Radiology (NIR) Technologist - Travel Assignment



Position Overview



A Neuro-Interventional Radiology (NIR) Technologist specializes in diagnostic cerebral angiograms, stroke thrombectomies, embolizations, coiling, and other neurovascular procedures. This role requires expertise in Siemens Bi-plane imaging systems, high-acuity case management, and collaboration with neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons.

  Daily Caseload: 6-8 procedures per technologist

  Rooms: 3

  Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

    Every 3rd to 4th weekend (Friday 4:00 PM - Monday 7:30 AM)

  Time Off (RTO) Restrictions: Maximum of 7 days

  Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks (canceled shifts must match scheduled shift length)
  
  

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cerebral angiograms, embolizations, stroke thrombectomies, coiling, lumbar punctures, and other neurovascular procedures.
  
  


• Operate Siemens Bi-plane imaging system, handling image acquisition, post-processing, and case circulation.
  
  


• Ensure radiation safety protocols and sterile field maintenance.
  
  


• Maintain accurate electronic documentation using Epic.
  
  

Qualifications & Certifications

• 
  BLS Certification required.
  
  


• 
  ARRT Certification required.
  
  


• 
  Minimum 2 years of Neuro-Interventional Radiology experience required.
