Job Summary
Murphy Oil Corporation is seeking a facilities engineer with experience with FPSO to oversee and provide day-to-day engineering support. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and the execution of OPEX, monitoring performance KPIs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing the performance and efficiency.
The Sr FPSO Facilities Engineer will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remotely.
Responsibilities
Manage the 3rd party operator Services Agreement contract, including cost management and production-dependent management fees
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including BSEE, CVA, USCG, flag, and Class regulations
Coordinate with various departments to ensure the successful execution of the OPEX budget and other required maintenance and repair projects
Life extension activities and compliance with class certificate
Monitor and manage the budget for ongoing operations and maintenance, including reimbursable opex and management fees
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for uptime and cost management
Manage the risk assessment and mitigation process for identified risks related to topsides, propulsion, mooring, and hull
Ensure timely submission of reports and documentation to regulatory bodies and stakeholders
Provide regular updates to senior management on the asset performance and ongoing projects
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or another technical field
Minimum 7 years' experience in operations and maintenance management in the oil and gas industry
Strong knowledge of FPSO operations and maintenance practices
Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting requirements for offshore oil and gas operations
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong background in asset integrity and reliability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with occasional (20%) travel or as required
The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs. The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
