SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Training Systems Business Area is currently seeking a Software Engineer. Software Engineers research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. As a software engineer, the candidate requires the ability tolisten to customer requirements, perform analysis and document software and/orsystem requirements/design utilizing Modelling Based Systems Engineering.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum process, design and develop software end-products within a team environment utilizing Object Oriented Programming, and design and develop pipeline constructs to conduct code analysis, automated unit tests, and automated functional tests.
• Perform detailed analysis of test requirements in conjunction with commercial products available to automate repetitive test steps.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.

Experience: 1 year of experience.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of Qt Framework, Redhat Linux, C++, Python, GitHub and Gradle for incorporation into the Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Knowledge of virtualization and/or container technology, network communication protocols such as AMQP, ZeroMQ, CORBA, TCPIP Sockets.
• Information Assurance, Cybersecurity knowledge/experience are also desirable.
• Applications developed are for Navy systems and past experience developing and testing Navy systems is also highly desirable.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
