Compliance Analyst - Fayetteville or Greenville, NC
The right person for the job will play a critical role in enhancing the Association's 2nd line of risk related activities by monitoring transactions and operations to assess potential risks, identify and report any violations of regulatory requirements, and provide support to our front-line team members on compliance related issues or questions. You should enjoy the challenge of collaborating with other departments to implement effective compliance strategies, trainings, and policy/procedures. The Compliance Analyst will contribute to all our business objectives including "Navigating our Association Safely and Soundly". This position would report to the Chief Risk Officer.

How you will impact AgCarolina Farm Credit:
Monitors and enhance 2nd line risk management activities to evaluate the effectiveness of the compliance programs and controls to ensure adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements
Investigates and resolve compliance-related incidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken
Assists with the developing, maturing, and maintain the compliance program, policies, and procedures
Partners with the Director of Internal Audit to assist with compliance audits and planning
Identifies and report discrepancies or violations, ensuring timely resolution
Provides oversight, training, and support to Association staff to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements
Collaborates with the Chief Risk Officer on projects, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
Completes compliance testing and reporting to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
Identifies and makes recommendations for enhancements which improve processing and/or efficiencies
Assists the Chief Risk Officer with various projects, reporting, monitoring, and control processes
Maintains knowledge of changing regulations and makes recommendations to management as necessary
What you need to succeed:
Education and/or experience equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
Two or more years of experience in a compliance role within the financial industry
Strong understanding of federal banking regulations and FCA regulations
Ability to be assertive and decisive in assisting Association personnel with compliance related issues
Basic knowledge of agricultural lending and related financial products and services, preferred
Strong analysis, judgement and communication (oral and written) skills
Must be a quick learner who takes ownership over their knowledge and continuous development
Must be adaptable, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks to meet deadlines and expectations
Work independently under general supervision
Capability to effectively manage high stress situations in a professional manner
