Responsibilities

Join our team at Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS), where exciting career opportunities await at our distribution center in Panama City Beach, FL! We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Loader to become an integral part of our operations. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, conducting inventory cycle counts, and ensuring that stock is correctly stored in designated locations. You will also play a key role in maintaining the overall appearance of our expansive 5-acre distribution yard.

As a Yard Loader, your primary duties will involve safely and efficiently moving large materials, including 20-foot-long sections of drain pipe, within the yard. Your attention to detail and forklift expertise will ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload trucks with heavy materials, including 20-foot-long drain pipes.
• Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
• Organize and store products in their designated locations within the yard.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the expansive 5-acre yard.
• Operate a 16,000-pound fully enclosed forklift (with heating and air conditioning) to transport materials safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety procedures and operational standards at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth flow of operations.

Qualifications:

• Above-average forklift operation skills, particularly with large forklifts.
• A strong, dependable work ethic with verifiable references showcasing reliability.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing inventory.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy materials.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work 1st shift, 6:30am-3pm M-F

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive starting pay range: $17.20 to $22.15 per hour.
