A Neuro-Interventional Radiology (NIR) Technologist performs diagnostic cerebral angiograms, stroke thrombectomies, embolizations, coiling, and neurovascular procedures in a high-acuity setting. This role involves working closely with neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons from WashU, assisting in both adult and pediatric cases. The technologist will operate a Siemens Bi-plane imaging system, performing neurovascular image acquisition, post-processing, and case circulation.

Shift: Days (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Daily Caseload: 6-8 procedures per technologist
Rooms: 3
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-Call Expectation:
Weekday Call: 4:00 PM - 7:30 AM (one weeknight per week)
Weekend Call: Friday 4:00 PM - Monday 7:30 AM (assigned 3-4 times in a 13-week assignment)
Floating Within Service Line: Yes
Floating to Sister Facilities: No
Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
Locals Accepted: No (local radius rule: 75 miles)
Pending State License Accepted: Yes
Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
Time Off (RTO) Restrictions: Maximum of 7 days
Responsibilities
Conduct diagnostic cerebral angiograms, embolizations, coiling, and stroke thrombectomies.
Perform venous samplings, lumbar punctures, and operating room angiograms.
Operate Siemens Bi-plane imaging system for neurovascular imaging.
Position patients for optimal image acquisition and post-processing.
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
Qualifications & Certifications
BLS Certification required.
ARRT Certification required.
Minimum 2 years of Neuro-Interventional Radiology experience required.
