Neuro-Interventional Radiology (NIR) Technologist - Travel Assignment



Position Overview



A Neuro-Interventional Radiology (NIR) Technologist performs diagnostic cerebral angiograms, stroke thrombectomies, embolizations, coiling, and neurovascular procedures in a high-acuity setting. This role involves working closely with neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons from WashU, assisting in both adult and pediatric cases. The technologist will operate a Siemens Bi-plane imaging system, performing neurovascular image acquisition, post-processing, and case circulation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic cerebral angiograms, embolizations, coiling, and stroke thrombectomies.
  
  


• Perform venous samplings, lumbar punctures, and operating room angiograms.
  
  


• Operate Siemens Bi-plane imaging system for neurovascular imaging.
  
  


• Position patients for optimal image acquisition and post-processing.
  
  


• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
  
  

Qualifications & Certifications

• 
  BLS Certification required.
  
  


• 
  ARRT Certification required.
  
  


• 
  Minimum 2 years of Neuro-Interventional Radiology experience required.
