Key Responsibilities:

-Write and optimize CNC programs for various machines including 3-5 axis vertical mills and lathes. 

-Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings. 

-Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues. 

-Team Lead (optional): Assist in mentoring and training junior programmers, manage production schedules. 

-Support shop floor setups and knowledge transfer

-Create documentation for the shop floor including tooling lists and setup sheets

-Design work holding fixtures


Qualifications/requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
     required.  
  • Demonstrated ability to program using CAD/CAM
     software, MasterCam experience is preferred, with expertise in multi-axis machining  
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and workholding techniques
  • The ability to read blueprints and execute shop
     math.  
  • Complete work in an accurate and timely manner.  
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.  
  • Proficient understanding of G-code  
  • Proficient understanding of Geometric Dimensioning
     and Tolerancing  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail  
  • Flexible, ability to work in a fast-pace team
     environment  
  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential
     information  
  • Team Lead(Optional):Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
