The Paraplanner provides direct support to Wealth Advisor(s) by developing financial plans for clients/prospects and also execute on follow-up tasks from the advisor as he/she implements recommendations from planning sessions. The Paraplanner's job is to help enhance the client experience by assisting the advisor in providing comprehensive financial planning services. Knowledge of firm policies, procedures, industry regulations and the use of technology allows the Paraplanner to interface with clients/prospects appropriately and provide exceptional service while performing his/her duties.
Responsibilities
Participate in advisor's client/prospect meetings to gather discovery data for use in constructing financial plans
Meet with advisor to gather information to construct financial plans
Utilize MoneyGuidePro to develop comprehensive financial plans. This includes data entry, scenario modeling, report generation, and thorough review with advisors to prepare for client/prospect meetings
Collaborates effectively with advisors by proactively addressing follow-up questions and plan-related inquiries
Attend follow-up client/prospect meeting where financial plan is delivered, if requested.
Take notes at the client's plan delivery meeting, identify action items and create follow-up tasks in the CRM
Execute on tasks assigned
Prepare updates to existing financial plans, if requested
Research questions arising from financial plans that require further inquiry and deliver information to the advisor

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in business related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of investment industry experience of or 3 years w/CFP® designation
FINRA Series 7, 63/65 or 66 securities licenses
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to review and analyze or interpret data and documentation
Accuracy and detail oriented
Ability to use financial planning and customer relationship management systems
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize activities to meet deadlines
Must be able to work onsite in Herndon, VA headquarters
Ability to work the hours of M-F 8am - 4:30pm
Preferred
Experience with MoneyGuidePro
Experience with Salesforce
