We are currently seeking a CAD Manager to join our Transportation Practice. Annual Compensation: $90,000+ based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

CAD MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Team Leadership & Management
Provide technical leadership, training, and support to CAD designers and engineers, resolving technical issues and ensuring adherence to standards.
Lead and mentor CAD drafters, designers, and/or technicians and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
CAD Standards & Processes
Develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards, processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficiency and consistency across transportation engineering projects.
Evaluate emerging CAD technologies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and innovation.
Evaluate and develop 3D design workflows, including use of modeling and design tools, preparing design conceptual visualizations, and quality control coordination with existing conditions. This includes utilizing drone 3D meshes and ortho imagery, lidar technology, and 3D modeling.
Develop and maintain best practices and workflows in ProjectWise. This may include document management and user access, clash detection, and design reviews using ProjectWise s advanced capabilities
Assists in troubleshooting software and hardware issues and providing technical support to users.
Project Management
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize design workflows and improve project delivery.
Oversee the production of CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements, state and federal design standards.
Participate in client meetings where necessary to coordinate project setup and design progress, as well as present conflicts through CAD tools or views.
Quality Control
Implement and maintain quality control procedures for CAD outputs.
Perform quality control reviews to verify adherence to CAD standards and project specifications.
Identify and resolve technical and quality issues that arise during the execution of projects.
Training & Development
Identify training needs and develop training programs.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in CAD technology.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and stay competitive.
CAD MANAGER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
Required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in CAD drafting and design within the transportation engineering industry.
Expert proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Expertise in ProjectWise document management systems and design collaboration features.
Proficiency in creating 3D visualizations, civil exhibits, cross-sections, and plan sheets using Bentley software.
Experience managing a CAD team or leading CAD-related initiatives.
Knowledge of DOT standards and other transportation design guidelines.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with GIS, BIM, or other relevant design technologies is a plus.
