A Senior Sales Engineer is a technical expert who leads the sales process for complex products or services, collaborating with sales teams to understand customer needs, develop solutions, and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations, while also providing technical support and guidance throughout the sales cycle.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: 4 Year College Degree, Technical Degree Preferred (Engineering, Construction Management, Etc.)
Experience: 4+ Years
Strong Technical Skills: Deep understanding of the company's products, services, and relevant technologies.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and challenges.
Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
Customer-Focused Mindset: Ability to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the industry and competitive landscape.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
Travel: 20%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Expertise: Possesses in-depth knowledge of the company's products, services, and industry trends.
Customer Engagement: Engages with prospects and customers to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and needs.
Solution Development: Collaborates with sales teams to develop technical solutions that meet customer needs and align with their business goals.
Presentations and Demonstrations: Delivers compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of the company's offerings.
Technical Support: Provides technical support and guidance to sales teams and customers throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
RFP Responses: Assists in responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs) with technical expertise.
Collaboration: Works closely with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and success.
Problem-Solving: Identifies and resolves technical issues and challenges that arise during the sales process.
Mentorship: May mentor junior sales engineers and provide guidance and support.
Sales Strategy: Contributes to the development of sales strategies and tactics for complex accounts.
Industry Knowledge: Stays up-to-date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
