Scala/ Spark Developer


BCforward is currently seeking a Scala/ Spark Developer for a Hybrid Opportunity in New Jersey.



Position Title: Scala/ Spark Developer
Location: Hybrid (Jersey City, NJ)
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 6+ Months with potential to long term
Job Type: Contract- Hybrid role
Pay Range: $95/hour-$100/hour
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).


Needed to be successful in role:

• At least 6 years of experience in Scala on Spark, Kubernetes and SQL


• Experience working with Azure (AKS, ACR, ADLS, etc. services) and Airflow for orchestration


• Strong troubleshooting experience with defects and/or working on new planned enhancements


• Need to be well organized


• Successfully perform well in a developer capacity in an "individual contributor" role, while also being a team player working with geographically distributed teams (US, Canada, India)


• Financial Services experience working with Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) regulation would be a strong plus


• Experience presenting to clients with the ability to demonstrate strong technical thought / architectural leadership
