The Shipping Clerk position is vital to the success of Kinetics Noise Control. They are responsible for every shipment leaving the door on time and in perfect condition. The Shipping Clerk will obtain, package and prepare order for shipment. The shipping department is responsible for ensuring timely pickup, as well as packaging material to survive both TL and LTL shipping.  

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and other machinery, including robot stretch wrappers and crane
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Prepare and ship UPS Shipments
• Obtain and package orders for domestic and export
• Fill out packing lists and BOLs accurately
• Package fragile material adequately to ensure perfect delivery
• Safely Load LTL, Dry Vans, Flatbeds, Sprinter Vans, etc. 
• Backup lead when out of office
• Keep track of emails as it relates to ship date changes, holding of orders, accounting, etc. 
• Unload fiberglass
• Other duties as assigned

• Able to follow instructions and/or directions requiring normal to extended periods of concentration.  Requires ability to follow a course/sequence of action within specified procedures and to logically think through error issues to resolve or contact appropriate source. Must maintain normal mental alertness to assure accurate order entry. Must be able to organize work to ensure attention to detail and follow through. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of warehousing and logistics functions, Microsoft Office Suite and experience using an ERP/TMS system.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. Some tasks will require standing in one place for extended periods, while others involve walking around the facility. The employee is required to stand and walk, lift, bend, stoop, and squat. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 51 pounds. 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job will generally be performed in manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
