Description: Our client is currently seeking a OSP Engineer in Richardson, TX



Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience with reading/interpreting fiber construction as-builts and fiber splicing cut sheets or schematics.


• Minimum of 3 years experience with modifying and creating linear and point features and attributes from documentation in 3GIS or similar GIS or similar GIS application.


• Fiber plant design, and general construction knowledge.


• Strong Computer Skills (Databases, Processes, and Administrative) - Comprehensive knowledge and skill for more complex applications to include Word, Excel, Visio, ArcGIS/ESRI, 3GIS, Google Earth, etc.


• Knowledge of the network plant and local practices.


• Working knowledge of right-of-way, property rights, and permit acquisition.


• Ability to work independently on multiple projects within organizational practices and guidelines.


• DESIRED SKILLS:


• Conduct Research to locate and obtain existing feature sets.


• Provide GIS (Geographic Information Systems) analysis and services.


• Prepare custom maps and diagrams from GIS data.


• Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data.


• Analytical Skills - The ability to resolve problems associated with given task.


• EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Requires High school degree and 4 years or more job-related experience or degree in related field. A combination of education and applicable work experience may be acceptable.
