Job Summary:
Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair tasks for various equipment and systems in a facility. This role involves troubleshooting issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment such as HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and machinery.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.
Conduct inspections and maintain records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to address and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
Support and adhere to all implemented quality, governmental and safety company policies and procedures.
Respond to service requests and work orders in a timely manner.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Provide support and training to junior maintenance staff as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.
Participate in ongoing training and development to keep skills and knowledge current.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is preferred.
Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably as a Maintenance Technician I or similar position.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to maintenance tasks.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in a maintenance environment.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical conditions.
Working Conditions:
May require working in various environments, including outdoor settings and confined spaces.
May be on-call for emergency repairs, may be required to work weekends, or on-call shifts depending on facility needs.
