Spiritus Systems is a rapidly growing, veteran-owned small business manufacturing tactical nylon gear in Aberdeen, NC. 

 

POSITION 

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 

 

JOB SUMMARY 

The Maintenance Technician is an integral part of the manufacturing production line. The technician will sustain and manage the technical needs of the production floor. They will perform equipment, machines, and building safety support and maintenance.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Support, report to, and be directed by the Facilities and Engineering Manager in their duties. 
• Support and manage the technical needs of production operations. 
• Performs preventative and reactive maintenance of industrial production machinery, including fabric cutting and sewing equipment. 
• Conduct equipment operation and maintenance training. 
• Support the Buildings & Grounds Department as needed. 
• Support safety programs across the company.  

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Strong mechanical background.

• Prior industrial machine repair and maintenance experience. 
• A working knowledge and/or background of reading and comprehending technical documents and schematics.  
• Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and electronically. 
• Computer proficiency. 
• May be required to travel for trade shows, training events, industry or company events, and/or contract manufacturers.  
• May be required to work overtime and/or extended hours depending on business needs. 
• Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and kneeling for up to and including 8 hours.  
• Vision to view printed and electronic text and graphics. 
• Ability to access information on computers, tablets, and electronics. 
• Ability to handle and manipulate items with hands and/or fingers up to and including 8 hours. 
• Perform all other duties reasonably related to the Company’s business when asked to do so by the Company’s executive team.  
• Full-time, on-site position. 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Prior industrial sewing machine and cutting machine repair and maintenance experience. 
• Utilize appropriate software to perform job duties, such as but not limited to Cutworks, Juki PM-1, Ethos CAD/CAM, ADP and/or Microsoft Office Suite systems to facilitate job duties.  
• Electrical, low-voltage, PLC knowledge/experience. 
• May also include additional experience requirements provided by manager
