Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
Vocational training in HVAC or Ammonia or in an apprenticeship program for at least 4 years
Denver County journeyman refrigeration license
Ability to read schematics
Basic electrical knowledge
Basic trouble shooting skills
Ability to work on and repair all ammonia refrigeration, heating an glycol systems in plant
Ability to follow P.M. schedules in a timely fashion
Must qualify as a first responder
Desired
Liquid Ammonia License
Fix and maintain refrigeration and heating equipment in proper condition at all times.
Do preventive maintenance on all refrigeration, heating, glycol, and hot water equipment. Repair as needed.
Order parts as needed.
Must be able to pass the 24 hour haz-mat first responder course and pass the physical required for this course.
Must be able to don and function in a scuba suit as needed in an emergency. Also must be able to wear a respirator.
Office A/C, hot water system, window A/C, and all related equipment as needed to be maintained.
Help out if needed with maintenance on the floor.
Knowledge of all LOCK-OUT, TAG-OUT procedures
Must do machine checks.
Make sure proper preventive maintenance is being done.
Bring to manager any concerns regarding this equipment.
Help train refrigeration employees on their duties as required.
Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
