Job Description:





RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Sorts, classifies, and codes material for filing.
  • Prepares new files within the file classification plan.
  • Accesses, compiles, gathers, and delivers requested information assets.
  • Maintains an accurate charge-out system.
  • Maintains accurate circulation information.
  • Receives and processes information transferred to inactive storage in accordance with established schedules.
  • Processes obsolete information for destruction, in accordance with the retention policy and established procedures.
  • Interfaces with supervisors, co-workers, and other staff members to exchange information. All contact is internal to the organization.
  • Identify, compile, sort, organize, and manage appropriate data.
  • Communicate results and findings effectively, using established formats and reporting tools (MS Excel required)





QUALIFICATIONS



  • A minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Candidates with experience in an active information environment and one or more years of college with specialized course work in administrative management and IT are preferred.
  • Experience in operating office equipment, such as reprographics equipment, calculators, and reader/printers, and the ability to lift standard information storage boxes,. Typically, the requirement is the ability to lift 35 to 50 lbs
  • Attention to detail is key.
