Manage and oversee all Maintenance Engineering projects and personnel for the plant including capital improvements, major equipment modifications and installations. Overall responsibility for the plant, infrastructure, equipment maintenance and reliability. Facilities and grounds maintenance.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a safety-first culture, including safety and compliance programs such as confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, arc flash, contractor safety, roof access and hot work.
Working cross-functionally to build an overall site strategy to improve Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
Active member of the Site Management Leadership Team.
Build overall Maintenance strategy, including but not limited to:
Strategy to reduce unscheduled downtime due to mechanical outages
Improvement and implementation of active predictive and preventive maintenance program
Capital budget process including but not limited to development, planning, approval, resourcing, and implementation of projects on time and on budget
Enable and participate in cross-functional approach with Production and Technical (Process Engineering) to improve machinery targeting quality and efficiency improvement
PFMEA strategy to identify critical risk areas, build capital plans to mitigate risk of extended outage.
Manage maintenance expense budget and spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
Manage overall maintenance engineering, automation, electrical and instrumentation effort.
Member of Engineering CoE, supporting strategy for companywide improvements and knowledge exchange.
Manage CMMS implementation tracking inventory, and procurement of all maintenance functions.
Provides direction and guidance to employees, including setting objectives and clear performance standards.
Responsible for overall employee relations and conducting discipline meetings, interviews, performance appraisals, training plans and making recommendations regarding employee compensation.
JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical degree, preferably in Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required.
5+ years supervisory/leadership of a manufacturing maintenance team with a strong background of web handling and tension control systems.
Strong planning, priority setting, problem solving, and machine troubleshooting skills.
Track record of successful, timely project budgeting, planning and implementation.
Previous successful implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Strong industrial/facilities maintenance understanding, including but not limited to pneumatic and electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and PLC programming.
Ability to build collaborative relationships and lead a team. Strong interpersonal skills.
Able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces.
Supporting 24/7 operations, any shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
