SUMMARY

The Summer Intern will be a highly motivated individual that is responsible for assisting department heads on special projects and other assigned tasks. The internship will be a temporary position not expected to exceed 10-week term. Responsibilities will include formulating a special report at the end of the term to showcase research results and company recommendations.

DUTIES

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Assist in developing data models and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Create and maintain reports using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Present findings in clear and concise formats for non-technical audiences.
• Work on ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed by the data team.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with other departments to understand business needs.
• Troubleshoot end user issues related to reporting and/or other IT tickets.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Attention to detail and a passion for working with data.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages.
• Experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI, and/or Power Query.
• Previous internship or project experience related to data analysis.
