Persistent Systems is looking for an Inventory Analyst who will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels to ensure that all areas of Persistent Systems operate efficiently. This includes all Persistent Systems managed warehouse sites in Fort Collins Colorado as well as offsite third-party logistic providers.
The candidate will analyze inventory data, monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and work closely with S&OP, Quality, Production, Purchasing and Warehouse teams to prevent shortages or overstock situations as well as managing non-usable stock that includes expired and excess inventory. This position is accountable for managing assigned inventories through daily, weekly, monthly, and annual physical counts. The Inventory Analyst organizes and partners in conducting daily cycle counts, adjusts quantities and locations, records and reports discrepancies to management while maintaining communication with all areas of Operations.
Position Responsibilities
Reports to the Manager of Warehouse and Logistics while working with the Planning manager to monitor the ERP systems process of demand planning and inventory functions of the product lines to support both material and finished good requirements
Plan inventory cycle counts and maintain the master count schedule
Investigate inventory shortages and overages, if any
Analyze inventory trends from cycle count results, production jobs, and new product launches
Ensures seamless movement of products for all inventory transactions, including material movement, build assemblies, demonstration equipment requests and removal of obsolete or scrap inventory
Create and maintain the reporting and management of KPI's for OTD, Safety Stock, Cycle Counting, and Warehouse Jobs using Excel and other Microsoft suite programs
Ensuring that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations by monitoring KPIs
Schedule warehouse job orders and work with the Purchasing department to bring in material needed for safety stock and made-to-order item demand goals
Communicate with various other departments (Planning, Purchasing, Production, Sales, Engineering, Quality, Accounting) to ensure smooth inventory processes are being done efficiently
Represent Inventory, Logistics, and Planning in weekly meetings with company stakeholders
Ensure all online orders are being processed daily and efficiently by supporting the Planning department in daily communications with the Sales team
Work directly with Project Managers to create lean and efficient shipping schedules for large projects and orders
Monitor the flow of core product output from production to kitting to shipping
Maintain and organize a safe stockroom
Support the shipping, receiving, kitting, and order verification processes and provide guidance as needed
Develop SOPs as needed for the Department of Logistics (new Processes, new packaging standards, new product kitting, etc.) and lead the training and record keeping of these processes
Work directly with the Quality department to ensure new inventory items are added into the ERP system correctly and unused items are removed/disposed of properly
Manage year-end inventory focusing on a < 1% inventory variance while working with: Accounting, Production, Internal Auditors and External Auditors
Job Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related degree or equivalent experience
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and components
Proficiency in INFOR/CSI, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience communicating directly with leadership
Must have the ability to obtain aUnited Statessecurity clearance
Preferred Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience in electronic/electrical manufacturing performing inventory control.
Demonstrate experience with information management systems, such as ERP
Lean Six Sigma certified "a plus" and or knowledge of the 5s methodology or lean and continuous improvement processes.
Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and self-motivation
The pay for this role can vary from $90,000 to $117,000 a year based on the selected individual's education and experience.
