Description: The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in industrial buildings. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of plumbing codes, materials, and best practices to ensure efficient and reliable systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in industrial buildings
• Fabricate and install plumbing systems including but not limited to:
  • Copper, PVC/CPVC, and steel piping systems
  • In wall rough ins
  • Buried piping
  • Set fixtures and final trim
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues accurately and efficiently
• Interpret and apply plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
• Collaborate with contractors and other trades to ensure seamless project completion
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of plumbing systems
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns promptly
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to operate excavating equipment as well as shooting grade accurately preferred
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Attention to detail and precision in work
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a plumber with at least 3 years as a Journeyman
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, plumbing codes, and safety regulations
• Extensive underground knowledge and experience
• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred

Travel Requirements:

• Anticipated 100% travel to project sites nationwide
• Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and events

Physical Requirements:

• • Ability to wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 pounds
  • Adequate vision to perform all required tasks
  • Work on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops
  • Comfortable with heights and able to climb and descend safely
  • Strong sense of balance and spatial awareness
  • Work in underground trenches, high elevations as well as confined spaces, if required
