Centralized Loan Processor

CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of Consumer Loans

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Will support Loan Officers, Retail Branch employees and other employees as needed in the role of processing consumer loan requests. This will include, but not be limited to, unsecured loans, auto loans, home equity lines of credit, renewals, change in terms, withdrawals, and denials, etc.

Essential Functions

  1. Set up new loan requests utilizing the appropriate tracking and loan software system. Based on the loan type they will begin processing the requests as required. This will include:
    • Order, manage status and receipt with third party vendors: Flood, appraisal, legal, title insurance, additional loan requirements, early disclosure, and checks.
    • Obtain approval from appropriate employee based on Loan Policy
    • Manage and prioritize pipeline of loan requests.
    • Complete all applicable regulatory reporting such as CRA, HMDA, etc.
    • Review loans for closing and clear any PTC items.
    • Process and schedule loan closings.
    • Prepare loan documents and send out via email.
    • Disburse loans.
    • Final Processing of loans- review of signed loan package and submission to loan processing
    • Scan post-closing documents received and forward to Title & Insurance Processors so that tracking may be updated or deleted.
  2. Effectively follow and apply Loan Policy.
  3. Process, complete, and adhere to policies and procedures of the company, including Loan Policy.
  4. Follows operational and compliance regulations and requirements.
  5. Organize work and accountable for follow up and resolution with all document tracking items.

Skills/Abilities

  1. Must be highly organized, motivated, a team player, pay great attention to details and follow through with tasks.
  2. Must have computer knowledge, good typing skills, basic math skills, analytical skills and be a good listener and problem solver.
  3. Must have the ability to multi-task, maintain a high degree of accuracy under pressure, ability to prioritize and manage workflow, must be adaptable to an ever changing internal and external environment.
  4. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  5. Must have and exhibit a professional manner and exhibit good interpersonal skills.  

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.   Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing, as necessary.

Travel

Limited local travel may be required for this position.

  2. Loan experience preferred.
