Job Title: ESL Instructor (Short-Term Exchange Program)
Dates: Sunday, July 6 - Tuesday, July 8, 2025
Hours: 2 hours of instruction per day (morning sessions)
Location: South Hadley, MA
World learning is seeking two experienced ESL instructors to provide engaging, student-centered English instruction to a group of 14- to 17-year-old students from Mexico participating in a short-term cultural exchange program, Jóvenes en Acción (Youth in Action).
Responsibilities:
Teach daily 2-hour, in-person ESL classes over three consecutive mornings
Lead a class of approximately 15 students (one instructor per class)
With support from the World Learning team, design and deliver interactive lessons that:
Build students' confidence in conversational English
Explore aspects of U.S. culture
Prepare students to engage with others during their visit
Support discussion of their community-centered projects
Student Profile:
Age: 14-17
English level: Upper intermediate or higher
Visiting from Mexico as part of an educational exchange program
