Job Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Primary duty is to manage the cost-efficient purchases of all inbound and outbound transportation services.

  • Determine economical traffic patterns and specific routes to maximize efficiencies and minimize costs.

  • Responsible for maintenance and scheduling company vehicle fleet.

  • Maintain all part-time drivers’ timecards, hours worked, and medical cards, etc. in compliance with DOT regulations

  • Prepare and consolidate all necessary documents for each driver dispatched on delivery of finished goods (bill of lading, affidavit on duty statement, advances, flight arrangements, DOT signs, permits, and all additional documentation necessary for shipments.)

  • Ensure continuous improvement and high-quality service.

  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects that may be required.

  EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

  • 3-5 years of transportation planning, coordination, and shipping is preferred.

  • High degree of customer service, organization, and communication skills required.

  • Experience in moving domestic and international freight preferred.

  •  Mobile equipment product experience desired.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

  • JD Edwards experience is preferred.

      

EDUCATION REQUIRED:   High School Diploma required.  B.S./B.A. degree preferred.

Salary Range for this position - $68-78k
