Who We Are:


The SwRI Business Finance and Accounting departments provide timely and accurate financial reports. We disburse payroll, reimburse our staff for business expenses, invoice our clients, pay our vendors, and oversee insurance procurement and retirement plan administration. A key objective is to minimize risk of financial and business loss and optimize cash flow.


Objectives of this Role:

• To assist with forecasting schedules related to construction in progress and other financial projections.


• To assist with reviewing and analyzing recorded costs to confirm their compliance with US GAAP, FAR and accurately recorded in the chart of accounts.


• To assist with reviewing accounting documents for their completeness and adequacy for audit purposes.


• To assist with organization of existing accounting files and ensure the data elements of specific documents are in compliance with set procedures for consistency.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Test and assist in the QA review of accounting transactions.


• Assist in the preparation of forecasts.


• Assist in the preparation and review of the CAS 409 Asset Life Study.


• Assist in the preparation of various financial reports.


• Local Student Internship

Requirements:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree at a local university in Finance or Accounting


• Coursework should include business, finance, and accounting


• Should have experience with Microsoft Office specifically Excel


• A valid/clear driver's license is required
