Join our client's team as an A/V Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch audio/visual and IT services. This onsite position is based in Austin, at our client's location, and requires a professional with a strong background in A/V technologies, particularly in environments like churches and higher education. Your expertise will be crucial in managing and supporting a range of A/V equipment, including laptops, microphones, wiring, and projectors. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary A/V technology expert, supporting our client's partners and ensuring seamless integration with other technologies.
Provide comprehensive computer support to students, faculty, and staff, covering PCs, servers, LAN, telephony, and software.
Offer escalated support to the Personal Support Center, with potential off-hours and off-site duties.
Maintain and troubleshoot A/V implementations, including projectors, TVs, smart screens, and audio equipment.
Coordinate new hardware installations and repairs across multiple campuses, collaborating with vendors and onsite resources.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and knowledgebase content.
Manage and train student workers in A/V setups for meetings and events.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years in A/V event support and staging.
Proficient in various A/V implementations and vendor coordination.
Experience with meeting platforms like Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to provide after-hours support and travel to remote sites as needed.
Education and Certifications
A two-year degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Technical certifications such as Microsoft or CompTIA A+ are desirable.
