Location: Troy, MI (Hybrid Schedule - Wednesdays in office are mandatory)

Base Annual Salary: $215,000 - $250,000
Job Description: The Vice President of Revenue Cycle will oversee the mid-cycle portion of the revenue cycle, focusing primarily on coding and Health Information Management (HIM). This role requires working in a dynamic environment and managing various aspects of the revenue cycle.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience, including director-level responsibility in a complex healthcare organization.
Exceptional business acumen, including experience in contracting or group purchasing.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for written, verbal, presentation, and computer communication.
Bachelor's Degree.
Previous experience working in a large integrated health system.
Change management experience.
Mid-cycle experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in business or health-related field.
Experience leading integration or other large transformation projects.
Coding experience.
Broader revenue cycle experience.

Responsibilities:
Partner with the Sr. Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer to build a vision and strategies for world-class quality integrated services.
Communicate the business model and tactics to stakeholders.
Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement & Analytics staff to drive Revenue Cycle Playbook projects.
Develop excellent relationships with revenue cycle customers, including market leadership, service line leadership, finance leadership team, hospital presidents, and clinical department chairs and administrators.
Recruit and develop talent in areas of responsibility, including subject matter experts and transformational leaders.
Establish clear performance expectations and standards of excellence.
Support the development of a diverse and representative talent pool with involved and empowered employees.
Ensure effective and compliant revenue cycle systems using internal and external resources as needed.
Develop and monitor offshore work streams, ensuring compliance and adherence to budget.
Evaluate and lead contracting for capital acquisitions, consumable supplies, purchased services, and leased property.
Lead the development and acquisition of information technology strategies to support the information and business needs of the Revenue Cycle service line.
Optimize Epic functionality and stay current on Epic model system, evaluating existing and emerging technology and outsourced services.
Facilitate a matrix approach in the development of services and participate effectively on committees and teams within the health system's organizational structure.
Represent the company and its interests when communicating with key stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, government officials, regulatory agencies, third-party payors, and healthcare providers.
Manage financial performance, including planning capital and operating budgets, growth initiatives, and expense management.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Skills/Experience:
Jointly responsible for the annual update and execution of the Revenue Cycle Playbook with other members of the Leadership Team.
Provide leadership for human resources, work processes, and information technology across all service locations.
Foster a culture of innovation, employee development, safety, accreditation, and responsible business performance.
Integrate Revenue Cycle services with the vision and mission of the organization and its operating units.
Focus on transformational areas such as advanced analytics, automation, labor savings, emergent technology, AI and machine learning, clinically based alerts, voice recognition, NLP, and point-of-service scanning.
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in business or health-related field strongly preferred.
