Position Overview:
Motiva's Refinery is looking to hire Electricians to join our team in Port Arthur. As an Electrician, you will provide daily tactical electrical support to the Instrument & Electrical department and operating units.
This is a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated position, and is subject to drug and alcohol testing in compliance with DOT regulations.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair 240v, 480v, and 2400v equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical switch-gear equipment.
Test, troubleshoot, and replace electric lighting systems.
Diagnose and apply results using voltmeters, amp meters and meggers.
Read blueprints for the purpose of troubleshooting and equipment installation.
Provide Lock Out/Tag Out support for all energized equipment.
Complete work order closure in plant computerized maintenance system.
Experience and Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent education
Texas State issued Journeyman Electrical/Wireman License
Knowledge of motor/starter circuitry
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card at time of hire
Preferred Education and Experience:
Instrument and Analyzer knowledge
Working knowledge of NFPA 70E/Arc-Flash
Physical Requirements:
Willing and able to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation

Must be willing and able to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs with or without accommodation
