Adams & Martin Group has partnered with an immigration law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Immigration Paralegal with a strong background in Family and Humanitarian-based immigration to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will be a bilingual self-starter with 3-5 years of experience, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. While the primary focus will be on family-based and humanitarian immigration cases, the candidate should be open and eager to learn about business immigration.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage a caseload of family and humanitarian immigration matters (e.g., VAWA, U-Visas, Asylum, O visas)
Draft and prepare immigration forms, supporting documentation, and detailed declarations
Maintain client confidentiality and demonstrate high integrity and professionalism
Coordinate with legal staff across multiple locations (Carlsbad, Miami, and Colombia)
Conduct client intakes, case updates, and communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in family and humanitarian immigration law
Bilingual (English/Spanish) - Required
Exceptional writing skills, especially in drafting declarations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Open to learning business immigration processes
Must pass a skills test prior to hiring
Work Environment:
Hybrid schedule (3 days on-site, 2 remote)
Collaborative team including attorneys, legal assistants, and coordinators
Position is temp-to-hire with long-term potential
