Position Overview



Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys in complex real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in commercial property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and a solid understanding of title and survey reviews along with related legal documentation. This role is fully onsite in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.



Responsibilities



  • Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial real estate transactions from inception to closing, including purchase, sale, leasing, and financing.

  • Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and environmental assessments; prepare title and survey summaries and identify potential issues for attorney review.

  • Coordinate and communicate with title companies, surveyors, lenders, clients, and outside counsel to gather and manage all documentation and due diligence materials.

  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, closing checklists, escrow instructions, and closing binders.

  • Manage critical dates and deadlines, maintain transaction checklists, and ensure all documents are received and properly executed prior to closing.

  • Conduct UCC and other corporate searches; prepare and file UCC financing statements and entity formation documents as needed.

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of closing documents and oversee post-closing follow-up, including recordation and distribution of executed documents.


Qualifications



  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of real estate law, title and survey review, and commercial lending practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems (i.e., iManage, NetDocuments, etc.).

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.

  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.


Required Work Hours



Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Benefits



This position offers a competitive salary with a range of $75,000 to $90,000 per year.
