Location/Division Specific Information

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated senior test technician. The role is based at our Tewksbury site and will have a key impact on the success of the Compliance Test Solutions (CTS) Business Unit. CTS is the leader in providing ESD testing equipment that helps manufacturers meet their test requirements to help reduce catastrophic failure, ensure product quality, and speed time to market. CTS products have proven to be the most reliable and dependable in the world.



How will you make an impact?



As a Senior Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our MK2 and MK4 product lines. Your expertise in turning on, calibrating, and testing these products down to the component level will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality ESD test equipment to our customers.


By performing detailed failure analysis, pre-assembly component testing, and final QA testing, you will help maintain the high standards of excellence that our products are known for. Your role in assembly and system testing will further support the seamless integration and operation of our products, ultimately enhancing the customer experience and contributing to the success of our organization.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform all steps related to the turn on through calibration for our systems including generating reports for data approval

  • Conduct troubleshooting related to failures that occur during system calibration and implement corrective actions to resolve failures

  • Conduct necessary testing and repair of PCBA's for both manufacturing and service inventory

  • Diagnose, repair and test items returned by customers under the RMA process

  • Support manufacturing team with handling daily activities related to build and test of our product lines

  • Support field service activities by providing troubleshooting assistance for system failures that occur at customer sites.


Experience Requirements:



  • Associate's degree in electrical engineering preferred, and/or 5 years of related experience, or an Electrical test Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial/field service


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities



  • Read and understand engineering documentation including schematics, circuit diagrams and sequence of operations

  • Soldering electronic components on printed circuit boards

  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing PCBA related components and system level testing

  • Strong technical background with the ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits to the component level.

  • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, etc.).

  • Competent in using computers for handling email, producing calibration documents, and generating final calibration certificates and cd

  • Excellent communication skills
