Job Description:




Budget title: Assistant Athletic Trainer (SL-2)




Salary: Commensurate with experience (full-time, 10-month, college-year)




Binghamton University is a NCAA Division I institution in the America East Conference, located in Binghamton, NY with 21 intercollegiate athletic teams. Binghamton University is currently seeking an Athletic Trainer to join their Sports Medicine Team, with potential sport assignments of women's basketball and men's tennis program.




The Binghamton University Sports Medicine Team provides efficient and effective interdisciplinary care to help prevent and manage athletic related injuries or illnesses. Treatment of these conditions are based on sound medical principles considering personal and team goals, delivered in a professional and ethical environment. Binghamton University Athletic Trainers are certified by and members of the National Athletic Trainers Association.






Requirements:





  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Athletic Training from an accredited institution

  • Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) and maintain the standards established by the National Athletic Trainers Associations' delineation study

  • In good standing with the NATA, BOC, the local NATA District and the State Athletic Trainers' Association

  • Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) certification pursuant to Public Health Law Section 3000-b (3) (a)

  • CPR certification for the Professional Rescuer

  • Valid license to operate a vehicle in New York State




Preferred:





  • Valid registration as a Certified Athletic Trainer for the State of New York issued pursuant to Article 162 of the Education Law, by time of appointment

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer

  • Experience working in a collegiate setting

  • Experience working in an NCAA D1 setting
