Senior Software Engineer (.NET)


Number of Positions: 3


Locations: Charlotte, NC; Irving, TX; Phoenix, AZ; MetroPark, NJ


Work schedule: HYBRID - 3 days a week on site, 2 days remote at one of the aforementioned locations.


Main Skills:

• Standard full stack .NET engineer responsibilities


• .NET Microservices experience


• MongoDB experience


• Document Storage microservices experience, including template updates in documentation presented to customers and users

In this role, you will:

• Support the design, architecture, development, and integration of Merchant Payments in onboarding, servicing, and operations platforms, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and user experience objectives


• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and UX designers, to translate business requirements into technical specifications


• Lead technical innovation and stay abreast of emerging trends in payments to enhance the product's capabilities and maintain a competitive edge


• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and enforce coding standards to ensure the highest level of software craftsmanship


• Deploy and monitor the Merchant acquiring servicing platform, optimizing performance, reliability, scalability, and user experience

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience in software development, with a focus on building servicing experiences with a digital-first architecture mindset


• 4+ years of strong expertise in leading the design and build of applications with .NET core frameworks


• 2+ years of solid understanding of hybrid cloud technologies (Azure, Google), microservices architecture, and API integrations


• 2+ years of excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and mentor junior engineers


• Experience with Microsoft Technologies development: .NET, .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, MongoDB


• 5 years of experience with SQL


• 3 years of Agile experience


• 2 years of full stack development experience


• 2 years of experience with RESTful APIs

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Merchant Acquiring, payment gateways, PCI, credit decisioning, Risk & Fraud management, funding, settlement, reconciliation, reporting, case management, IVR, Point of Sale (POS) configuration, and device integration


• Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing


• Good understanding of design patterns and best practices


• Experience with adaptive and responsive development techniques


• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment


• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and a track record of delivering complex projects on time


• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field


• Experience with Java is a plus


• Experience with Azure and knowledge/exposure to OpenShift environments is a plus


• Experience with React or Angular is a plus


• Credit card experience is a plus
