JOB DESCRIPTION:



Position Title: Tax Information Reporting Specialist Ii


Location: 100% Remote


Job Type: 12+ months contract



Responsibilities


• Responsible for overseeing external co-sourcing partner who

1) prepares tax information returns, including 1099s (all types), 1042-S, and other required forms, and

2) prepares daily tax withholding deposits to ensure that all tax reporting deadlines are met


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Divisions, Treasury, Accounting/Finance, IT, Legal) and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely reporting


• Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and internal stakeholders regarding tax information reporting


• Documenting tax reporting policies and procedures and internal controls as the business develops and grows


• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency of information tax reporting process


• Advisor for tax reporting related matters including being a liaison between Company's various business divisions and the external vendors


• Assist with research and documentation of tax reporting technical issues


• Assist with other tax projects as needed



Experience


• 4+ years of experience in tax information reporting or related field with life insurance operations experience preferred


• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field


• Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills


• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet and manage responsibilities under tight time frames


• Excellent communication skills both oral and written


• Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal guidance
