Overview: As a Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager, you will leverage your analytical skills, passion for finance, and relationship-building talents to support our dynamic lending team. You will play a critical role in maintaining the health of our loan portfolio, overseeing the renewal cycle, providing strategic risk rating recommendations, and driving the success and growth of our client's lending department.



Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and underwrite commercial customers and credit products, including Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial and Industrial (C&I) businesses, agriculture, bank holding companies, their subsidiary banks, and individuals.
• Apply extensive knowledge of commercial credit policies, credit analysis, procedures, and philosophy.
• Demonstrate strong financial and risk analysis skills.
• Structure various types of commercial credit and evaluate collateral for value, marketability, and control.
• Administer an assigned loan portfolio, reviewing the financial and business status of borrowers and recommending risk rating changes as needed.
• Supervise the loan renewal cycle and collaborate with lenders to facilitate credit approval and loan documentation.
• Conduct annual reviews as part of ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Resolve credit issues, delinquent payments, and other related matters.
• Monitor loan covenants to ensure compliance and follow up on any violations.
• Develop strong relationships and ensure prompt communication with client banks and borrowers through written and verbal correspondence.
• Track and follow up on loan requests in a timely manner.
• Verify that loan bookings align with approval terms.
• Assist Credit Administration management in preparing reports on loan portfolio metrics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with formal credit training or MBA.
• 5+ years of experience in credit administration activities and commercial underwriting.
• Previous experience as a Portfolio Manager in a commercial banking setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving and presentation skills.
