Coordination of Benefits Specialist at Magellan Health Services inc in Maryland Heights, Missouri

Job Description:

This position is responsible for updating Coordination of Benefits (COB) records in all claims systems as well as determining order of benefits. Coordination of positive COB responses with the Cost Containment staff will be necessary for recovery purposes.

• Researches and enters data of COB leads.


• Provides documentation of adjudication errors for management and examiners.


• Designates workflow of positive entries and coordinate efforts with Recovery Auditors.


• Prepares weekly reports for inventory control purposes.


• Opens and sorts mail, distribute to various departments (COB reprocess requests).

Responsibilities
Knowledge of standard coordination of benefits policies, as well as policies for coordination with Medicare and Medicaid.
Working knowledge MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of standard industry Coordination of Benefits (COB) policies.
