Summit Funding Group, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Specialist. This position will be located at Summit Funding Group, Inc.'s headquarters in Mason, Ohio.
The Human Resource Specialist is primarily responsible for recruiting and staffing open positions in the organization. The Human Resource Specialist provides candidates with an engaging and inclusive experience throughout the recruiting process while promoting Summit Funding Group through our core values and culture. This position manages our Employee Recruitment Process, Employee Onboarding Process, and spearheads our Employee Engagement Programs.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Recruitment
Achieves talent acquisition objectives by recruiting and evaluating candidates, partnering, collaborating and advising hiring managers and managing promotions and internal transfers for assigned areas.
Determines candidate requirements by reviewing job profiles and working with hiring managers to understand skill sets as needed.
Works in tandem with hiring managers to identify candidates, conduct and schedule interviews, partner with hiring managers to present competitive offers of employment and complete hiring process.
Provides an engaging candidate experience.
Identifies qualified candidates through various recruiting and sourcing tools and utilizes a multitude of recruitment resources to maintain a pipeline of incoming candidates.
Offers process improvements throughout the recruiting process.
Onboarding
Works closely with management and associates to foster positive work relationship, and increase engagement and retention.
Works with hiring managers to identify qualified candidates, conducts and schedules interviews and partners with hiring managers to present competitive, equitable offers.
Communicate with candidates, conduct interviews, perform background checks, and complete hiring process including new hire paperwork.
Understand applicable legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates.
Guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Employee Engagement Ambassador
Participate in the production of company quarterly Town Hall Meetings
Coordination of annual Volunteer events for staff at HQ
Other Activities
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Provides support for Summit's VP of HR as needed.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
1-3 years of experience in Human Resources
Results-oriented communication skills with strong ability to develop effective business relationships with team members and clients.
Exceptional time management skills in managing multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Systems.
Motivation and interest in working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
B.A. in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
Proficient in Workday HRIS.
Physical Requirements
Occasionally lifts and carries up to 10 lbs.
Frequently sits, stands and walks.
Compliance Statement
The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures. This includes all Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.
